About

I bring a wealth of experience as a therapist, which is not only informed by my 30+ years of practice but also deep self-exploration and internal inquiry of my own from a young age.
My approach is empathetic, compassionate, non-judgmental curiosity, which I use to engage, with you, by asking the right questions. As you gain awareness, though reflection and reframing you will begin to discover how to create the life you truly desire. Through the skills and processes I provide, you will learn to develop ever greater internal guidance and the ability to following that guidance to reach your greatest potential.

It is my passion and honor to work with others on their own unique life journey, through the challenging times of transition or stagnation that can create stress, anxiety, depression, crisis and/or trauma.
From a young age, I have been a seeker of truth, curious about understanding the seen and unseen world and exploring the complexities of human emotion and behavior. Early on, I embarked upon a life long journey of slowly unraveling the mystery of myself, as I struggled with low self-esteem and an eating disorder. Even as a highly sensitive and empathetic teenager, I found myself mediating conflicts between friends and lending an ear when a friend was in need.
In college, I studied art and psychology and explored religion and various spiritual paths. In my last year, my two passions came together when I took a class called “Introduction to Art Therapy”. I moved to L.A. for graduate work in a program that was dual track, called“Clinical Marriage and Family Art Therapy Program” at Loyola Marymount University. In this program, I remember thinking, “Finally, they are teaching me what I really want to know!”

During this time, I also discovered my love for authentic movement and freestyle dance that allowed a deep dive into the vast realm of the mind/body connection. As I am more kinesthetic/feeling oriented than visual, it is through this mode that I became ever more grounded, empowered, embodied and healed. I trained with many movement teachers over the years that had a variety of focus. I began teaching movement/art workshops which I called, “Dance and Thrive” for 20+ years, in various locations, as I continued to work as a therapist in a variety of settings.

Also, during this time I found a spiritual community that resonated, called “Agape International” in L.A. It was originally founded as a Science of Mind and Spirit Community or Religious Science, now often called, Centers for Spiritual Healing, a non-denominational, empowering study with the premise “It is done unto you as you believe”. It is here that I studied 4 years to become a licensed practitioner of this philosophy which aligns with the psychology methodology of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy. All of these experiences and more have informed my work as a therapist.

I am grateful to have returned to Colorado ( the place of my birth) after 30 years of living in California, to be close with my now elderly parents and brother and sister-in-law. I live with my 12 year old daughter, close to my family in the mountains. I especially enjoy the fresh mountain air as I walk my dog or ride my bike. Engaging in freestyle dance and art continues to be a passion. I breath deeply and count my blessings. I have healed a chronic illness. I have grown through many relationships. I have manifested some miracles and continue to be in awe of life and the mysteries it holds.
