Launched in 2017, Destined Horizons, Inc is a haven for those seeking relief from the effects of life challenges. Our helping approach meets the individual needs of each client. This journey consists of establishing a trusting relationship, assessing the concerns as well as strengths, identifying disruptive thought patterns and maladaptive behaviors, finally transforming these patterns using a variety of interventions. We specialize in Life Coaching, Rational Emotive Behavior Therapy, Impact Therapy, Schema Therapy, Trauma Focused and Behavioral Therapy. We believe that change is possible one session at a time. Education
Carmy Howard is the founder of Destined Horizons, Inc. In a society where “everyday” life
stressors and even trauma have become the norm, she has always believed that there is a new
horizon of awareness that awaits. With over 15 years of experience working with youth and
families, Carmy Howard has promoted change through teaching parenting skills, working with
at-risk adolescents and providing therapy to a variety of clients. Her experiences range from
play therapy with children, adolescent individual and group therapy, family therapy, couple
therapy and grief counseling. Through modalities such as Rational Emotive Behavior Therapy,
Impact Therapy, Schema Therapy, Trauma Focused and Behavioral Therapy, she has been able
to bring awareness to dark places one session at a time. She is a Licensed Mental Health
Counselor, certified as a Clinical Trauma Professional, Certified Life Coach through the
Behavioral Health & Leadership Dynamics, LLC and is credentialed as a Distance Counselor.
Her greatest passion is to walk the journey with a client from obscurity to clarity, while building
on existing strengths. Life has a way of challenging us to newer horizons, through an eclectic
approach that meet the needs of each individual, she works alongside her clients to reach their
destined horizons.
