About
My primary practice focus is marriage, family and relationship issues. Additional areas of training include parenting, personal development, life transitions, anger management, depression, grief, anxiety/stress, trauma and spiritual growth. I strive to provide Biblically-based counseling which looks to the heart of issues and not just the symptoms. When working with my clients, I understand the importance of encompassing all aspects of a person in their healing process. This can embrace current life circumstances as well as their spiritual, emotional, and physical well being.
My husband, Neal and I have authored a new book entitled: "Take Heart". This books covers two very important topics related to families – God’s plan for restoring both our identities and our inheritance. These topics form an important spiritual foundation for building healthy family life. Without wholeness we form unhealthy relationship habits. As a result of our choices, we may end up fearing disappointment and rejection by those in close relationship with us. Secure bonds and unconditional love are the antidote to that fear and shame. The ultimate place of security is connection with our Heavenly Father. This book outlines how we build and maintain healthy relationships so we can walk fully in the identity of who God created us to be.
