My therapeutic philosophy stems from my heartfelt belief that everyone deserves an opportunity to process their emotions and work through life’s challenges in an empathic, understanding, and non-judgmental environment. It is my goal to create this type of compassionate space for you. I am committed to helping you reach your full potential and to see you succeed.

During counseling, I enjoy collaborating with adult or adolescent clients, and provide individual, couples, and family therapy. My concentrated specialties are in the areas of sexual trauma (both rape and childhood molestation), gender-related issues (including transgender transition), and relationship issues (including domestic violence). I have worked extensively with a variety of mental health diagnoses and concerns; some of which include Depression, Anxiety, Post Traumatic Stress Disorder, Borderline Personality Disorder, Bipolar Disorder, Schizophrenia and Schizoaffective Disorder, Grief and Loss, Self-Esteem, Personal Growth and Transition, Women's Issues, Family of Origin Concerns, and Boundary Creation/Maintenance. My work focuses on assisting those who are struggling to acknowledge, control, or express their emotions in a healthy and appropriate way.

Throughout the therapeutic process, I am committed to providing confidential, knowledgeable, and supportive therapy. My approach is personalized, integrative, and encouraging. I have been known to utilize a number of clinical approaches including Humanistic, Psychodynamic, Interpersonal Process, Cognitive-Behavioral, Dialectical Behavioral, Existentialism, Exposure Therapy, Solution-Focused, Family Systems, and Mindfulness. My comprehensive treatments and techniques are adjusted based on your individual needs and goals.

I have worked in the field of counseling since 2007. I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor in the state of Florida, a Nationally Certified Counselor, and am Certified both as an EMDR Therapist and a Sex Therapist. I hold a Master of Arts degree in Counseling Psychology from the University of North Florida in Jacksonville, Florida.
