Honor Yourself Counseling

I provide counseling services in English and Spanish. I work with adolescents, adults, couples, and families needing support to empower themselves and their relationships. I also work with clients struggling with anxiety, boundary setting, communication, crisis, depression, divorce, gender identity, grief, infidelity, parenting, relationship issues, self-esteem, sexual abuse, stage of life, and trauma.

The counseling process includes work towards identification of sources of distress and empowerment to discover approaches to overcome stressors. In addition to, bringing to light strengths of character utilizing Cognitive-Behavioral and Solution-Focused therapies. Another crucial part of growth and healing includes processing trauma safely while staying present. As a Marriage and Family Therapist healthy and uplifting relationships are an important therapeutic goal. As a trained therapist in Gottman Method Couples Therapy I can offer you a well-researched opportunity to identify the strengths, weaknesses, and steps to improve your relationship.

In order to provide quality of care the first session will consist of a discussion regarding reasons for seeking counseling services and any past counseling experience, as well as, personal history (education, family, health, relationship, work).
