My experience pertains to working with CHILDREN ages 0-10. A parent's concern about his/her child's emotional or behavioral issues are among the most common reasons parents seek professional. There are times when parents would like to expand their repertoire of parenting tools in order to help their children or further strengthen their relationship. I not only work with the child, but I also value the importance of actively involving the parent throughout the therapeutic process. Clients I work with also include children and parents who are dealing with changes in their families associated with adoption and expecting a child.
Parents seek professional help for their children because they genuinely care and want to see their children thrive. Together we will explore your concerns. As a team, we will develop a plan to incorporate lasting skills that you and your child can use to overcome current and future challenges. Providing a compassionate, confidential, and non-judgmental setting where families feel comfortable is an important component of my practice.
