About
Ryan McCrea has worked in the mental health field for over 15 years and has extensive experience with a wide array of mental illnesses, including depression, bi-polar, generalized anxiety, phobias, obsessive compulsive disorder, and addiction. He is a licensed independent clinical social worker and is authorized to practice in Washington (LW 60624683) and Idaho (LCSW 35851). He has been trained as an Advanced TMHI Certified TeleMental Health Practitioner.
Methodology: Given the wide range of needs, problems, methods of communication, and styles of thinking, there is no “one-size-fits-all†approach; as much as possible, therapy will be tailored to meet individual needs. Ryan works in partnership with his clients to help them identify and draw upon their unique skills, strengths, and abilities to handle life’s challenges. Ryan draws from cognitive-behavioral therapy methods and aids clients to think about their beliefs and assumptions and, then, to translate their insights into action. Action designed to help clients behave in new ways in their daily lives. Ryan offers his clients the ability to recognize relationship issues, behavior and thought patterns, and the emotional context of one’s experiences to help gain insights and to build needed skills to bring about desired changes. His goal is to help clients feel supported and empowered with hope, confidence, and the skills needed to realize the life that they seek.
