Leslie Martin is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Certified Substance Abuse Counselor (CSAC), Master Addition Counselor (MAC), and Certified Sex Offender Treatment Provider (CSOTP). She received her Masters Degree in Social Work from Virginia Commonwealth University in Richmond, Virginia. She was licensed by the Board of Social Work in 2004. Major coursework included group therapy and individual counseling. Her experience includes providing individual, family and group counseling for mental health, behavioral and drug and alcohol issues. The majority of her work has been with young adults, adults and families. She is both trained in dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), cognitive behavior therapy (CBT), and motivational interviewing (MI). Her experience consists of providing crisis stabilization at a psychiatric hospital, providing substance abuse services in a residential setting, providing outpatient mental health and addiction services, and providing sex offender treatment in an outpatient program. She has taught graduate Social Work Courses for George Mason University since 2010. She is available for licensure supervision for LCSW, LPC, and CSAC.
