We can actually change what we believe about ourselves. Often people who have experienced sexual trauma learn to think that “I am weak. I don’t matter. I have to please everybody, and I can’t make mistakes.” Those thoughts are really not true, but if you believe that, then you will act just like that. If you want to learn, change, and grow, then take the opportunity to step out and renew your way of thinking. Take a chance and change what you believe.

My clients have the opportunity to talk about their issues, learn tools to change what they believe, and live life without the burden of the past and shame.

I use cognitive behavior therapy approaches and EMDR when appropriate.
