Hello!
Congratulations on your decision to take care of your mental health! I have been a counselor in Louisiana for 7 years and I love what I do. Assisting others to improve their quality of life is a very rewarding and powerful experience, but it depends on you taking that first step. When you find a counselor you feel comfortable with, who you enjoy talking to, you put yourself in a position where you can get great insights about yourself, your life, your goals, how your mind works, and how you can better handle your emotions.
My main areas of focus are: relationship issues, family issues, depression, anxiety, self-esteem, insecurities (impostor syndrome), codependency, career counseling, grief, and life adjustments in general.
My main approaches to therapy are CBT, Mindfulness, Existential, and Positive Psychology. If you're interested, we can also talk a lot about different ways to reprogram your subconscious so you have the motivation and confidence you need to achieve your goals as opposed to the so common self-sabotage!
