About
Located on 40 acres in the eastern plains with a beautiful panoramic view of Pikes Peak and the cascading mountain ranges our facility provides a uniquely serene and healing environment approximately 30 minutes from downtown Colorado Springs. We work with individuals, couples, families, and offer groups/workshops.
Equine assisted psychotherapy (EAP) is an experiential form of therapy combining the work of a horse, psychotherapist, and equine specialist. Horses are naturally responsive to those around them and their environment and express their feelings openly and without judgment. This lends to in the moment interaction between you and the horse that your therapy team will capitalize on to help you reach your therapeutic goals.
Jessica R. Allen, M.A., a board registered psychotherapist with a specialization in marriage and family therapy, has teamed with Melissa Andrews, an accomplished equestrian, of Harlequin Equestrian Centre, USA and al Zarkar Arabians, in order to offer you the opportunity to safely interact with the horses while working on your healing process. This powerful form of therapy can often reveal underlying, and often unexplainable issues in a single session for the client and therapist to explore effectively and in the moment.
