I have experience working with individuals from diverse backgrounds and who present with various emotional issues such as depression, anxiety and panic, trauma, and GLBT and gender and sexuality issues. I frequently assist clients in coping with grief and loss, managing workplace conflict, and developing an assertive communication style. Additionally, many clients come to me in order to better articulate their goals in life. In sum, I work with clients facing many concerns and each client's experience is unique, thus, I strive to develop a working alliance built on trust, compassion, and genuine regard for each person.

I typically begin by meeting with a new patient for an initial consultation. My work is psychodynamic, which means I attend to feelings/beliefs that emerge from one's past experience and that interfere with living fully, creatively, and freely in the present.

I work on a sliding fee scale and work with each patient to develop a payment plan that is affordable to them. Confidentiality is of the utmost importance in a psychotherapeutic relationship, thus, I do not participate in any insurance plans.
