As a clinician, José uses a holistic approach through different therapeutic modalities to serve each client’s individual needs. He is fully trained in EMDR therapy, has additional training in Theraplay, and is working toward certification in each. José travels alongside his clients through their therapeutic journey to assist them in working toward an increase in self-awareness and fulfillment.
During the initial session, José engages his clients in a full psycho-social assessment regarding the reasons for therapy to develop an ongoing working treatment plan. Children require a unified therapeutic approach while engaged in individual therapy services, a family therapy component is also necessary to this process. Thus, parental engagement and participation is encouraged and required. José has flexible weekend and weekday appointments available to meet his client’s scheduling needs.
