About
I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist who has worked over 15 years with children and families in the Los Angeles Area. I graduated with a Masters in Clinical Psychology from Antioch University in Los Angeles, California in 1996.
My clinical experience includes working with children and families on child behavioral issues including separation anxiety, anger management, substance abuse, eating disorders, depression, anxiety, grief and loss, victims of abuse, as well as providing play therapy for children who have experienced trauma and have difficulty expressing their emotions and experiences. I also have extended experience treating at risk teens by aiding them to overcome obstacles, fears, abuse, or whatever challenges they are facing by cultivating their inner strength and self-esteem in order to become confident and be able to thrive in any situation.
Prior work experience has included working with several community based organizations both in mental health and social services as a therapist and social worker, and as a Foster Family Agency Administrator and a Coordinator for school based mental health programs including an outpatient substance abuse program.
