About
Welcome! If you are considering individual or family counseling, you probably want to get an idea of what I am all about. I'll start by telling you a little bit about my educational and professional background, as well as my treatment philosophy.
First of all, I am a Cary native (one of the few and proud!) and grew up literally just a few miles from my current office. I attended North Carolina State University where I earned a Bachelor's degree in Social Work and participated in the Child Welfare Collaborative program. Upon graduation, I started working in Fayetteville, NC as a forensic investigator with Cumberland County Department of Social Services (DSS). Later, I relocated back to the Triangle and worked at Chatham County DSS (Pittsboro, NC) with the same job duties.
My expertise is in the treatment of mood disorders, trauma (including developmental trauma), perinatal mood disorders, and issues pertaining to obesity - including pre and post operative support for bariatric surgery.
