About
Te onsite school counseling services program is used by onsite providers and host organization personnel working in partnership with the onsite mental health professional and the office of Kurt LaRose MSW LCSW. Clients at the onsite host organization are provided mental health services, using a structured protocol that indicates program efficacy every year since inception (in 2005). This program model has been used in the consultation contracts with other program implementation services, as requested in and outside of the US.
The onsite counseling services program is designed to meet the needs of the particular organization seeking onsite mental health services, and it enables consistent program outcomes. Additionally the program structure maintains and supports the mental health expertise of the onsite provider (specific to his/her training, background, and practice approach), enabling a dynamic intervention method that is face to face, digitally supported and remotely accessible. With mental health service delivery maintained by professionals, via protocol and evidenced based outcomes, host organization professionals focus on their mission, while users of the service benefit.
The terms governing the professional school counseling services program are specifically addressed in the current and most recent "School Counseling Services Program Proposal and Agreement" (between the named host organization and the office of LaRose) and in the current and most recent "School Counseling Services Subcontractor Agreement" (between the named onsite provider and the office of LaRose). See the Talkifuwant.com ("schools") for additional information or contact LaRose.
Clients (or their guardians) who are the recipients of the onsite counseling services provide written consent for client side digital services; clients who use the online digital secure server services themselves (video sessions, chat sessions, telephone services, secure emailing and journaling, plus other online digital services) must obtain permission to do so from the onsite counselor, and if available, clients (and their guardians) must provide written consent. Because not all onsite providers use the client/counselor shared platform, clients should ask the onsite therapist if the option is available. Not all host organizations utilizing the program protocol have web access, thus traditional paper protocol is followed in that regard.
The secure client side and onsite provider side area is password protected, HIPPA Compliant, and user to user encrypted. Encryption ensures that information shared over this platform is only viewable between users, enhancing privacy and security. Host organization communication, client to therapist communication, program supervision and evaluation communication - all can be managed via the unique program protocol - while enusre confidentiality between and separately from all users (and the onsite therapist and program evaluation/training professionals).
The onsite Professional School Counseling Services being provided here, are implemented and delivered using existing program protocol (as published elsewhere on the TalkifUwant.com website; see the "schools" link for more information). The secure area includes agency specific and basic forms for standard documentation procedures, and the area ensures program integrity via a standard service delivery mechanism that is monitored, supervised and co-jointly facilitated between the onsite provider and the office of LaRose (both licensed in mental health services treatment methods). The service delivery can be modified to other host organization specialties (other than schools, for example).
The digital web portal is an added service to assist onsite providers of mental health services and host organizations (the school for example), and onsite clients (youth and guardians). Host organizations who are contracted with the office of LaRose, are using an existing, established, and evaluated program, effective in the successful delivery of counseling services where onsite mental health counseling is currently provided and contracted.
Onsite services model of delivery for mental health expertise and intervention, using the program and protocol specified by contract terms, offers a unique communication platform for optimal onsite services delivery. Users (clients, school personnel, onsite providers, program evaluators, parents, and other parties as deemed necessary to effect positive outcomes) of onsite school counseling services, who also use the online web portal, can access, complete, and submt forms securely (without printing, saving, mailing or the worry of losing anything); users can send/recieve secure emails (user to onsite provider encrypted, provider to user encrypted), meeting electronic health record standards; users can write journals (private only or shared when the therapist requests it); users can access counselor shared files, shared session notes/assignments and shared images when the onsite counselor makes them available; plus onsite personnel can communicate with the therapist via the secure area (accessing shared files as well) so that mental health information is kept private between personnel and the onsite provider.
All users of the onsite school counseling services program (please see the TalkifUwant.com website, and click "schools" for more information about the program protocol, structure, etc.) will obtain digital profile information during the introductory seminar upon program implementation (clients will recieve information about the electronic health records and the digital profile with permission slips and during the initial intake). All client records are in compliance with electronic health record standards and are stored in the digital profile; the data is maintained via the secure area. For clients and providers who decide to communicate via the secure server, an additional consent form is offered during the intake session (intake occurs after a client is accepted into the onsite counseling services program, subsequent to the school referral form and the consent for school counseling services form - based on space limitations and the determinations of need in the intake session.
All secure communications remain confidential between the licensed mental health professional(s) and the client.
Professionals/agencies/organizations who are interested in learning more about the implementation, development, and evaluation of onsite counseling services, using a specific program protocol (with or without the online web, chat, telephone and digital profile options) can obtain additional information by contacting: kurt@talkifuwant.com.
