About
The power to change our beliefs, behaviors, and relationships is a great tool. Sometimes due to the experiences and challenges in our lives we may not have learned that power or may have forgotten that we have the power to change. I see my job as a counselor to help people learn or be reminded of that fact. This is my goal and objective for the people that I work with.
I offer different options for working with you, such as phone, chat, email, and online video sessions (that do not require you to obtain or download additional software, but one click will allow you to enter a video session at the scheduled time).
I have seen success in helping people deal with problems such as addictions, grief, depression, trauma, abuse, PTSD, anxiety, and various conditions such as bipolar and anxiety disorders. My experience working in private practice and background as a college professor enables me to draw from a wide range of experiences and education to provide assistance.
My experience has taught me how to adapt my approach to help people be successful as we work together to bring about the life changes they are trying to make. I hold a Master's degree in Marriage and Family Therapy and Psychology (specializing in Behavioral Medicine).
Change requires effort and guidance. Counseling allows people to work with someone as a team to grow and develop. I want to help guide you to and through the life changes that you are interested in making.
I look forward to working with you get the change you are seeking.
