About

Does your child or teen lack motivation to achieve, have unresolved emotional issues, deal with bullying and are unable to speak up, have difficulty expressing their feelings in an appropriate way, exhibit high-risk behaviors including sexual promiscuity, drug use or other self-harm, or simply need guidance through parental separation, divorce, loss or any demanding life situation? I have helped many children and teens overcome the obstacles to achieving success in behavior modification, emotional stability, academics and social relationships. I specialize in treating at-risk children and teens that suffer from behavioral/emotional issues that prevent healthy development.

In addition to working with children and teens, I have helped many individuals, couples, families and parents develop the necessary skills for effective communication, positive interactions and healthy relationships, and develop efficient and practical methods of coping and stress management to achieve and maintain mental wellness and stability.

I am an experienced mental health provider, youth director, spiritual advisor and school counselor. I am ready to help you restore hope, peace and harmony in your family, in your life, and in the life of your child or teen. There is hope! Call me today.

Education
Peter P. Boyle is a Licensed Professional Counselor through the Alabama Board of Examiners in Counseling; National Certified Counselor through the National Certified Counselors Board; and Clinically Certified Forensic Counselor through the National Association of Forensic Counselors. He received his Bachelor of Science in Honors Psychology and Master of Art in Counseling from the University of Alabama at Birmingham. He is a member of the American Counseling Association and the Alabama Counseling Association.

Peter spent nearly a decade designing security systems for correctional facilities prior to his calling to become a counselor, and rather than working to keep people locked-up, he desired to help others free themselves from the chains that kept them from achieving success. Affected by his own personal life experiences, Peter has developed a passion for working with children and adolescents, especially at-risk youth, to overcome the behavioral and emotional obstacles to mental stability and healthy development. His working experience as a mental health professional, youth director, spiritual advisor and school guidance counselor has further molded his interests in assisting others in obtaining a balance of body, soul, and mind.

Peter works with children, adolescents, adults, and couples to develop the necessary skills for effective communication, positive interactions, healthy relationships, and practical methods of coping and stress management that are essential to achieving and maintaining mental wellness and stability. Peter also works with parents to develop effective parenting techniques and communication skills to present a united parenting style and has helped many families move through difficult situations that prevent positive parent/child/sibling relationships and achieve a healthier family structure.
