I am native of Kentucky and have lived here my entire life. I understand the culture and values of the people. After graduating from Eastern Kentucky University in 2001 with a Bachelors of Arts in Sociology, I began working in community mental health. I worked with a variety of populations including children, adolescents and families. Out of this work, my passion evolved into a specific appreciation of the developmental and social process of adolescents and young adults. In 2004 I received my Masters in Counseling and Human Development with a specialty in Mental Health Counseling from Lindsey Wilson College. I continued to work in outpatient where I specialized in children and adolescents.
In addition to my work with children and adolescents, I also focus on families and systemic issues within the family (abuse, substance abuse, dynamics). Currently, I am working toward a Doctorate of Education in Counseling Education and Supervision.
