Zoey Holguin is an independent marriage and family therapist with a supervisor designation specializing in treating adolescents, couples and families as well as caregivers to the elderly and severely mentally ill adults. She has spent the majority of her career in community mental health serving in clinical as well and management and leadership roles. Zoey uses a systems based approach believing no individual can be understood in a vacuum but has to be understood in terms of their relational context. She also is strength-based and recovery-focused believing everyone poses within them positive attributes and potential to live a full and meaningful life. Additionally, she also employs psychodynamic, motivational interviewing, interpersonal therapy, genograms and emotionally focused therapy to assist her clients in realizing their full potential and healing their hurts. Zoey sees children, adolescents, adults, couples and families with issues related to anxiety, depression, grief, relationship issues and communication, amongst other concerns.
Zoey hails from the sunny land of California and in her spare time enjoys reading, crocheting and spending time with her family.
